Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer, I was mandated to over see the HR functions in company which its main operations was in Transport and Logistics, Warehousing, Shipping as Well as Clearing and Forwarding.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resource Strategic Planning
Develop the organizational human resources strategy in compliance with corporate group Strategies
Design the HR department structure, positions and process system in compliance to its strategic mandate
Review, amend and draft job descriptions and qualifications for all staff in the organization
Formulation of HR Plans Policies and Procedures according to Organizational set objectives
Recruitment and Selection by developing innovative strategies that will ensure timely talent acquisition.
Administer Appointments/ Confirmations / Terminations / Resignations procedures and processes.
Develop and implement induction, orientation programs for incumbent staffs.
Developing up the methodology for succession planning analysis, implementation and Monitoring
Succession Planning and retention strategies of talented workforce.
Conduct training needs analysis and develop suitable training programs for employees
Facilitate trainings and development programs
Formulation Communicate company policies to the employees.
Conduct Employees’ appraisals and performance management
HR & Administration
Ensuring that all company legal obligations are met by providing technical and Professional Advice

☆ Performance management and reviews ensuring the company core values are adhered to and culture instilled at all times
☆ Co-ordination of appropriate training Programs for personnel and schedule analysis of the staff on training
☆ Drafting of staff contract Agreements (Local Agreements
☆ Disseminating Human Resource information within the organization and to clients.
☆ Staff Reference Checks, Authentication of Certificates for both newly employed and old staff members.
☆ Ensuring statutory deductions compliance before Deadlines e.g. NSSF, NHIF and HELB and Ensuring compliance of Occupational Safety &Health Acts (OSHA)
☆ Championing initiatives aimed at enhancing staff morale and satisfaction e.g. Welfare
☆ Action follow-up on Gratuity for Staff on contract and facilitate payment as well as Liaison on of insurance claims.
☆ In-charge of Leave administration for staff & Overseeing transport logistics and related monthly usage analysis.
